As Transparent As Our Bottles - Got a Question? We've got an Answer!
HOUSEKEEPING
What’s the difference between cold pressed juice and normal juice?
Standard juicing uses heat to extract the juice from fruit and veg. This isn’t ideal as it can cause some of those precious nutrients and enzymes to oxidise and we don’t want you to miss out on all that good stuff! Cold pressed juice essentially crushes the fruit or veg and then uses pressure to squeeze out every last drop of juice. Cold pressing ensures a more concentrated, nutrient-dense delivery.
How fresh is fresh?
Our juices are pressed daily and the juices delivered to your door are made the same day! Talk about fresh.
How long do xpressed Juice products last for?
The shelf life of xpressed Juices is up to six days as long as they are stored correctly (the fridge pretty please). As we avoid preservatives and additives, they won’t last quite as long as the tinned food in your Nan’s cupboard, but they’re usually consumed well before then anyway! Correct storage is a must and juices need to be chilled in a refrigerator or esky, below 5 degrees Celsius.
Where do we source our produce from?
We rely on only the best local farms, spanning from Victoria to the Sunshine Coast. We’re pretty lucky here in Queensland, with a varied climate to support a range of crops – all of which are transported and pressed while still fresh.
Why has my juice separated?
Because of the fresh, raw nature of xpressed Juices, liquid fibre may settle at the bottom of the bottle. This is normal; when we press our produce, the fruit and vegetable's insoluble, fibrous material is removed, but the living nutrients are sustained in the soluble fibre. Simply give the bottle a good shimmy and shake before consuming.
Can I freeze the juices?
Juices are not designed to be frozen as the contents will expand and the glass bottles may break. We don’t recommend putting yourself in harm’s way in this sense and therefore don’t recommend freezing your xpressed products.
What is my moolah going towards?
What we reap from the branches, we sow back into our community. Visit The Orchard for more information.
I have a nut allergy, can I still enjoy Xpressed?
Please note: we press our juices in the same area where we make our famous nut mylk, using Australian Almonds. While we do our best to clean everything thoroughly, we cannot make guarantees that all products are free from cross-contamination. Please be aware that xpressed juices may come into contact with tree nuts.
SHIPPING & DELIVERY
How do I place an order?
Browse our website and find your favourite xpressions then place your order online using your PayPal or your credit card. If you have any queries or can’t quite figure out the checkout process, drop us a line.
Where do you deliver to?
xpressed can be delivered from Brisbane to Byron and anywhere in between. We are based on the sunny Gold Coast, which means we can’t deliver too far beyond or we risk the freshness of the juices. Both cleanses and bottles can be delivered directly to your door – please arrange a time and place that best suits you so we can ensure each bottle of liquid-y goodness is loaded directly into a fridge.
Do my juices stay cold during transportation?
Rest assured, your cold-pressed goodness is kept in our temperature-controlled fridges until the very moment they are packed. The juices are hugged tightly in their box with insulated bubble wrap for the ultimate protection and then transported in our refrigerated juice trucks to keep them as cold and fresh as can be.
What if I'm not home when my order is delivered?
Your delivery should not be left unrefrigerated for longer than two hours, so please be sure to let us know if you need to change your delivery date and we will HAPPILY accommodate! Please note, changes to delivery times requires 24 hours notice – the juices can get a little pesky, you know.
Can I pick my order up from somewhere?
You sure can! Heck, we’d love to meet you. Our Pressery is located on the beautiful Gold Coast at 5A/19 Central Dr, Burleigh Heads QLD 4220. You can’t miss our very humble and not-at-all-boastful branding, but if you do, we are the first glass doors in the building. Just let us know when you plan on dropping by so that we can have your juices packed and ready to go.
CLEANSING
What's the difference between Cleanse Juices & Retail Juices?
xpressed Retail Juices (found in all of our Juice Boxes and the Build Your Own Box) are designed for regular consumption while our Cleanse Juices are part of a considered program to temporarily replace your diet for a specified time period.
How many juices are in each cleanse?
Depending on the duration of your cleanse, you will receive 8 - 40 bottles in total. This equates to 8 per day, all to be consumed in a particular order. Each cleanse program is carefully considered to deliver maximum nutrients to you. The order in which we recommend consuming each juice is very deliberate and will affect how your body digests its contents. For example, the juice you drink on an empty stomach is different to that which will give you enough energy to power through the afternoon. Stick to the program and you’ll reap the benefits!
Who can participate in a cleanse?
While we would love for everyone to enjoy what an xpressed Cleanse has to offer, we do recommend consulting your doctor if you have a medical condition, chronic illness or are on prescription medication. We also do not recommend a cleanse if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Children under the age of 18 should not undertake a cleanse but they are more than welcome to try our juice range as part of their regular diet.
I want to cleanse but I'm worried about the sugar content, do you have low-fructose options?
Absolutely! xpressed's REVIVE Juice Cleanse is our low-sugar juice cleanse option. We understand that some people are wanting to undertake a juice cleanse without any concern of an increase in natural sugars from the juice's fructose content. REVIVE is a great cleanse for those who have had previous experiences cleansing as the taste definitely keeps its low-sugar promise.
How should I prepare for a cleanse?
We don’t recommend going cold turkey on caffeine or sweets, which is why you should prepare for your cleanse a few days beforehand. Increase your water intake, throw in some green tea and swap the processed foods for fresh fruit and veg to help your body ease into the cleanse.
Will I lose weight during a cleanse?
Yes (but also no). You may notice some weight loss, however a juice cleanse is in no way a quick fix to lose a few kgs. It WILL teach you healthy habits and help to reduce your reliance on caffeine and sugary sweets to get through the day. Long-term weight loss should be slow and sustainable, while a juice cleanse is a temporary change in diet to reset and reprogram your bodily functions.
Will I feel hungry?
We’re nothing if not as transparent as our Australian, recycled, glass bottles…so we won’t beat around the bush here – probably! Any change in diet can evoke a response from your body but this is completely normal. If you need to eat, we recommend low GI foods to curb those cleanse-y cravings.
Can I exercise while cleansing?
Take a break from exercising during a cleanse. Your body is already undergoing changes and the nature of a cleanse means you will have lower energy levels than usual. We still recommend getting your steps in, having a stretch, and moving in a way that makes YOU feel good. Strenuous exercise or intense training is not recommended. Please seek medical advice before undertaking a Cleanse and consult with your chosen professional about exercising during the Cleanse process.
